The balance bike with 100% TRAX DNA for children aged 2 to 5 years
The TRAX BALANCE balance bike is not just any balance bike. It's designed with TRAX DNA,
aiming to take the development of young children on two wheels a step further. Pedal-less balance bikes have ushered in a new era in the process of learning to ride a bicycle and have practically rendered training wheels obsolete . Currently, this type of bike is suitable for children from approximately 2 to 5 years old. At 2 years old, children begin to understand the concept of balance on two wheels, and between 4 and 5 years old, they start combining the balance bike with a pedal bike, although for quite some time, children continue to enjoy the balance bike for the extra confidence it gives them. At TRAX BIKE, we believe that these three years of use are far too long to limit learning to simply understanding balance, and that's why we wanted to go a step further in the design of our TRAX BALANCE. The goal is for children to have the opportunity to integrate many more cycling skills over these three years. Every detail is designed so that the youngest children can discover and develop their skills on wheels in the best possible way: safely, healthily, and without limiting their abilities.
As passionate cyclists, the TRAX team designed this "balance bike"
thinking about the bike we would want if we could be kids again!

THE REASON FOR ALL THE DETAILS
Have you ever dreamed of being a child again?
Well, the TRAX BIKE team has too, and we designed the TRAX BALANCE as we woke up from that dream!
At first glance, the TRAX BALANCE's design might seem casual or simply aesthetic. But when we talk about paying attention to every detail, we mean all the principles we set for ourselves to create "The Balance Bike of our childhood dreams."
FRAME AND FORK DESIGN

In designing the frame, we've aimed for an aesthetic reminiscent of an adult bicycle, because apart from the fact that it looks AMAZING, all kids love riding a bike like their role models.
2.25 WHEELS WITH INNER TUBE
The choice of this tire width is not only aesthetic (although that is also a factor), but there are other, much more important reasons:
Physiological: On a balance bike, there are only two points of contact between the bike and the child: the
handlebars and the saddle. During the pre-design study, we realized that some children experience problems due to intensive contact with the saddle. With 2.25-inch tires and inflated to the correct pressure, a cushioning effect is achieved, helping to prevent these types of discomfort and injuries resulting from intensive saddle contact.
Functional: The TRAX BALANCE has been designed for children who want to expand their
learning range in the initial phase of riding on two wheels. The 2.25-inch tire allows the 12-inch wheel to roll much more smoothly on all types of terrain, including off-road surfaces and the steps/curbs encountered on
everyday routes.

EXTRA-SOFT SADDLE
We've chosen the softest possible foam for the saddle because, on this type of bike, the main points of contact between the children and the bike are the handlebars and the saddle. As with the first point regarding the choice of high-volume tires with inner tubes, we also felt it was important to consider this aspect carefully for medical and safety reasons.
REAR BRAKE
We added a rear brake to the TRAX BALANCE for two main reasons:
Introduction to braking: From around age 3, children begin to understand the concept of
"braking" and can therefore start to integrate the action of using the brake to stop the balance bike. This is a new skill they can master before making the leap to a pedal bike.
New adventures: Thanks to its design and tires, the TRAX BALANCE also allows children to start venturing off-road, and in this case, the rear brake becomes the perfect ally. A V-brake system was chosen for its balance between braking power and safety. During the design phase, a disc brake was considered but discarded due to the risk of finger shearing when children play mechanics with the Balance.
STIRRUPS AND FOOTRESTS
We consider the footrests on the TRAX BALANCE essential because when children begin to master their balance (around 2 years old), they can immediately start putting their feet up and even riding standing up on the BALANCE. This is a crucial skill that future mountain bikers will definitely benefit from!
INTERNAL WIRING

A balance bike with internal cable routing, ideal for keeping the cable and brake components in place and safe from unexpected tampering.
A-HEADSET ADDRESS
We've opted for an A-headset steering system, just like on an adult bike, to ensure proper steering function and durability. This also provides rigidity, so even the most adventurous parents can hop on and teach their kids their skills!
ANTI-CROSSING SYSTEM
We've incorporated a system into the steering to prevent the handlebars from turning more than 90 degrees. This system prevents the brake cable from becoming entangled in the steering.
FISTS WITH SIDE PROTECTION
The grips chosen are also specially designed for young children. The side protection prevents the first impact of the hand on the ground before the reflex to release the handlebars in case of a fall has developed.
